Caring For Your Mattress

When you purchase your mattress either have the store deliver and move it into your home or ask for their advice on how to properly move and place it yourself. Improper handling and installation could cause damage to your new mattress and foundation.

Some mattresses require turning or rotation. This helps to smooth out contours and equalize wear and tear. Check with your retailer to see if this is required for your new mattress.

Don’t use the handles to lift or carry your mattress. They are there only to help in positioning the mattress on the foundation.

Vacuuming is recommended to clean a mattress.

If you get a stain, use only mild soap and cold water rubbing lightly. Do not ever soak a mattress or foundation. You can use a quality, washable mattress pad to help keep your mattress free of stains.

Performing a check for signs of wear and tear twice a year will help you decide if you need a new sleep set.
